In ‘De Bunschoter’ van afgelopen vrijdag schrijft Peter Frans Koops van de SVP een ingezonden artikel over verschillende zaken. Terwijl de zaak in de kern over het speciaal basisonderwijs zou moeten gaan, is de ChristenUnie nu het mikpunt en worden er allerlei beschuldigingen en insinuaties gedaan aan ons adres en individuele fractieleden.

Jammer is dat je via de pers allerlei ongefundeerde kreten en beschuldigingen over personen uitstort, terwijl het moet gaan over de zaak waar het om gaat en de feiten die daaraan ten grondslag liggen.

Waar ging het ook alweer over:

  1. De commissie samenleving had de wens uitgesproken een werkbezoek te brengen aan een school voor speciaal basisonderwijs. Dit werkbezoek is georganiseerd door ambtenaren van onze eigen gemeente.  Zij hebben de school voor speciaal basisonderwijs  ‘De Werf’ in Amersfoort  gevraagd of de commissie daar op werkbezoek mocht komen. Ze hebben destijds ook  twee onafhankelijk mensen,  die geen enkele binding met deze school  hebben, maar wel deskundig waren, uitgenodigd. Daarnaast was de heer Immerzeel, directeur van ‘De Werf ’ aanwezig. Een van de aanwezigen was de heer Jong, coördinator van het samenwerkingsverband Eemland en de andere was de heer Keesenberg, die landelijk coördinator is van het project Passend Onderwijs. Alle leden van de commissie samenleving stemden in met dit werkbezoek.
  2. Het is opvallend hoe denigrerend de heer Koops spreekt over alle leden van de commissie samenleving, inclusief de wethouder. Hij typeert hen als domme politici die zich maar iets wijs laten maken. Alsof politieke partijen in zo'n situatie zich iets aan laten praten. Er was juist die avond volop de gelegenheid het gesprek aan te gaan en dat gebeurde ook. Het is nog opvallender om een oordeel uit te spreken over de leden van de commissie samenleving als jezelf en de burgerleden van de SVP niet aanwezig waren in Amersfoort. Kortom niemand van de SVP heeft zich laten voorlichten en kan dus niet uit ervaring spreken.
  3. Opmerkelijk is ook dat de aandacht van het speciaal basisonderwijs zich verplaatst naar het vrijgemaakt of gereformeerd zijn. Die termen komen opvallend vaak voor in het artikel van de heer Koops. Het lijkt wel alsof hij er iets mee heeft!
  4. Het is verder bijzonder te lezen hoe de heer Koops zich laatdunkend uitlaat over verschillende zaken: hij heeft het over ‘stuivers toeschuiven’ en over ‘het gereformeerde schooltje’. Het gaat dan om ‘De Werf’, de school waar veel leerlingen uit ons dorp onderwijs hebben gevolgd en nu gelukkig hun weg hebben gevonden in de maatschappij.
  5. De ChristenUnie is van mening dat door deze manier van schrijven de aandacht wordt afgeleid van het punt waar het werkelijk om draait. Het gaat om het onderwijs aan alle kinderen uit ons dorp van welke denominatie ze ook mogen zijn. Kinderen die goed, maar ook kinderen die minder goed mee kunnen komen.  Voor al die leerlingen willen wij zo goed mogelijk onderwijs, zodat ze zich ontwikkelen op een manier die voor hen het meest optimaal is. Het mooiste is wanneer dat in het eigen dorp kan, maar de zorg op de basisschool heeft helaas ook zijn grenzen. En soms is speciaal (basis)onderwijs dan nodig. Het beleid van de minister is er erop gericht om steeds meer kinderen een plaats te geven op reguliere basisscholen, waar zoveel mogelijk passend onderwijs wordt gegeven. Hiermee stemmen wij van harte in. 
  6. Wij zouden het ook toe juichen als de heer Koops samen met de andere burgerleden van de SVP-fractie zich juist laten voorlichten. Terwijl de heer Koops zelf zijn liefde voor het vrijgemaakte of gereformeerde beter voor zichzelf kan gaan koesteren en vervolgens op de juiste wijze en op de juiste plaats deelneemt aan de discussie.
